CROSSROADS REP IS BACK THIS SUMMER WITH A SEASON OF MUSIC, MARINARA, AND MYSTERY!

Terre Haute, IN – Crossroads Repertory Theatre is thrilled to return after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This summer, Crossroads Rep presents a three-show season featuring three different genres and three different formats.

The season opens with Seeger: A Multimedia Solo ShowWritten and Performed by Randy Noojin, featuring music by Pete Seeger. Seeger is an award-winning, critically acclaimed, multimedia solo show about America’s beloved folksinger/activist, Pete Seeger.  Spend an evening with Pete as he plays a benefit concert advocating the end of the U.S.-Cuban trade embargo, where he uses a dozen of his signature songs, including “If I Had a Hammer,” “Turn, Turn, Turn,” Where Have All the Flowers Gone,” “We Shall Overcome,” and “Guantanamera,” to tell the story of his awakening as an activist, and his struggle with the Blacklist. Seeger will be performed for a limited live audience June 4-5 at 7:30 PM and June 6 at 3:00 PM, and performed online on various dates throughout June and early July. Randy Noojin is an alumnus of Indiana State University. This production is sponsored by Don and Gretchen Baurer Jennermann.

The second show is I Loved, I Lost, I Made Spaghettia comedy by Jacques Lamarre, based on the memoir by Giulia Melucci, directed by Brian Maschka, and starring Eileen Earnest. This play tells the story of Giulia, a single New Yorker, who really knows how to deliver in the one room where it counts--the kitchen. Publishing pro by day and domestic diva by night, she knows how to whip up mouth-watering Italian cuisine. Unfortunately, her prowess with pasta is not matched by her taste in men, who all seem to eat and run. Can she find Mr. Right or will she end up getting burned? Based on Giulia Melucci's bestselling memoir, this saucy comedy features live cooking and will leave audiences hungry for love! Opening weekend is June 16th-18th.

Finally, the season closes with the family-friendly Clue, based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn, written by Sandy Rustin, with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price, based on the Paramount Motion Picture based on the Hasbro board game Clue, and directed by Heidi

Vogel. Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion, where six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by the Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlett, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT! Opening weekend is June 24th-26th.
